The MC Engineering staff have prepared numerous planning studies, bid packages, and designs for meter replacement projects.  We have developed standard methods to analyze meters aimed at optimized replacement strategies that minimize capital costs while maximizing return on investment.  In addition to preparing strategic meter replacement strategies, we specialize in managing meter and meter reading project installations and have completed studies and new systems for a number of agencies throughout California ranging in size from 2,000 to 60,000 or more endpoints.  Our designs incorporate new meter reading technology including Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) and Automated Meter Reading (AMR).  We can rapidly narrow-in on the business case while presenting viable options for technologies and related components for meter change-out and retrofit projects with an emphasis on minimizing costs, streamlining installation, and reducing impacts on agency staff.
