Mr. Carey has over 30 years of municipal water supply, wastewater collection system, and treatment facility project management experience along with an extensive background deploying emerging technologies, analyzing potable water systems and meters, and implementing related infrastructure planning and construction projects.  He has also been involved in managing the financing for large municipal wastewater projects and has a deep understanding of the relationship between water and wastewater rates and the basis of customer meter related charges.  His skills have tracked the evolution of water technologies starting with designing state-of-the-art SCADA and control systems in the 1990s followed by the analysis and design of multiple water supply, distribution system, and meter related projects throughout his career.  He understands how to work with agencies to help channel the abilities of diverse team members and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Mr. Carey founded MC Engineering, Inc. on the premise of providing personalized service for municipalities with a focus on water and wastewater projects that leverage technology to improve the bottom line and ideally, pay for themselves from the resulting benefits.
