After preparing an initial meter replacement feasibility study that included testing of select meters and determination of potential revenue gains, MC Engineering assisted GDPUD in developing an RFP for implementing an Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Meter Replacement Program.   Prior to preparing the RFP, field investigations were made to categorize the various conditions of approximately 4,000 existing meters, boxes, and lids.  The RFP was structured to provide staff with options for various technologies including meter and antenna types, box and lid retrofits, and other critical installation activities in the relatively mountainous terrain comprising the GDPUD system.
